Becta is pleased to offer a series of regional conferences for teachers who have a range of roles in supporting colleagues, either in a curriculum or professional development capacity, from ASTs and Leading teachers to subject leads and ICT cross curriculum co-ordinators. The conferences are also open to Local Authority staff who support and co-ordinate these groups. The conferences, which are jointly supported by the QCDA, TDA and GTCE, will offer you the chance to:

• Gain insight into the needs and demands of the 21st century professional in the changing and developing curriculum context
• See and learn from inspirational, practical and successful teachers who have exploited technology for the benefit of themselves and their students
• Gain insight into how others have supported and encouraged the use of ICT across subjects and phases
• Find out where you can get further advice, support and guidance on curriculum design and exploiting ICT
• Meet and compare experiences with colleagues from around the region and the country
• Take away a practical conference pack with material that will be immediately useful to you and to others you support

There will be keynote speeches from Gareth Mills, Director of Compass Learning (until recently Head of Curriculum Development at the QCA), and Tony Richardson/Niel McLean, Executive Directors at Becta.

The conferences will be held at four regional locations, so there should be a venue not too far from you:

• Bristol - Marriott City Centre - Wednesday 3 March 2010
• Manchester - The Midland Hotel - Friday 5 March 2010
• London - The Brewery - Wednesday 10 March 2010
