Rose Ball

Rosanne Ball was born in Reading, Berkshire in 1983. She was educated at St. Gabriels School, Newbury and completed her A levels at Lord Wandsworth’s College, Hampshire where she also completed the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. Rosanne graduated from the University of Glamorgan in 2004 having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in paediatric nursing with honours. This included a period of three months working and training in Finland to obtain an increased cultural awareness and widen her scope of healthcare. She is currently in the second year of a Masters in Disaster Relief (Healthcare).
She began work at the University Hospital of Wales in 2004 on a rotational paediatric nursing post, which included Surgical and Medical wards, as well as Paediatric Accident and Emergency. She now works in the Paediatric Accident and Emergency Unit, with a particular interest in paediatrics in the complex emergency setting. During the last three years Rosanne has undertaken short-term voluntary healthcare related work in Uganda, Thailand and the Philippines.
