Join us in celebrating outstanding Skills for Life achievements in the workplace

The Get On (GO) campaign supports the national Skills for Life strategy and encourages councils and fire and rescue services to take a more proactive, sustained and strategic approach to workplace skills for life. The GO Awards recognise and celebrate the success of organisations and individuals that have made a significant contribution to embedding skills for life across local government and the fire service.

The Get On Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner, hosted by the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) is a unique opportunity for you and your teams to network with other authorities and be inspired by outstanding success and achievement.

This year’s GO Awards will be revealed on the night by Lord Tony Young, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Skills and Apprenticeships, amid the excitement of the celebrations. Senior government representatives, chief executives and key personnel from local authorities will be among the 300 guests attending this special evening.
