Who should attend?
FOSS 2009 was the foremost conference for all senior public sector executives involved in service transformation and their partner organisations, providing the ideal forum for sharing and experiencing learning and innovation and for benchmarking in a dynamic and thought-provoking environment.
FOSS 2009 harnessed the best of all sectors – local and central government, other public sector organisations (police, PCTs, housing and health services), third and commercial sectors. The way to achieve real success in transforming local public services is to work in partnership with the other organisations that operate in the community.
FOSS 2009 was dedicated to:
Local authorities: this event was for senior officers and members who lead on or have responsibility for any aspect of service transformation including LSPs and LAAs; transformation; efficiency; finance/corporate resources; HR/organisational development; customer services; policy; service delivery; performance and improvement.
Third sector: this year’s conference had an increased focus on the role that third sector organisations can play in empowering citizens to steer the design and delivery of more personalised public services through Local Area Agreements.
Police, PCTs, housing associations: at the conference, local authorities and other public sector organisations shared their learnings and experience of working effectively in parnership for the optimum delivery of services to the communities they serve.
