The final event of 2006 for the Food Standards Agency Wales interactive trailer which visited 20 locations in 28 weeks!
The Food Standards Agency Wales’ exhibition trailer has just completed 20 major events in 28 weeks and the team is looking forward to a few weeks rest before it all starts again !
Glasgows designed and manufactured the 40’ trailer in 2002 to raise the awareness of the Agency’s hygiene and nutrition programmes by visiting Eisteddfods, agricultural shows, food fairs, and other major events. FSA Wales also works closely with local councils and emergency services and the trailer visits Crucial Crew events where it hosts an educational campaign of quizzes and inter-active games for schools and vulnerable groups. The trailer includes refrigeration & food storage facilities and a full working kitchen for cookery demonstrations. Plasma screens and roving cameras capture the ‘on stage’ action which also includes entertainment, a food themed panto, and the popular costume character Ken the Leek!
Glasgows provide contract and budget management; undertake storage, maintenance & repair; and provide a full team of support technical and logistics staff, including a qualified HGV driver/rigging specialist and an entertainment co-ordinator/presenter, who travel with the trailer throughout.
