Skills for the Future FIREWORKS AT EUROPEAN SKILLS SYMPOSIUM
Delegates watched in amazement as 30,000 people packed into the City Centre for the switch-on of the annual Christmas Lights
To achieve competitive and dynamic economies, European member states need to identify and address the skills and knowledge barriers facing them if they are to create sustainable communities.

That was one of the key messages at the recent Skills for the Future symposium hosted in Leeds by the Academy for Sustainable Communities (ASC) which attracted over 200 practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and experts from Member States and candidate countries.

We took the lead and created a dynamic setting for inspirational presentations, spontaneous audience inter-activity and meaningful networking opportunities.

The incorporation of eye-catching colour wash techniques provided the change of pace and moods at key stages of the symposium. By day Leeds Town Hall offered excellent facilities for the business in hand; by night, artistic table dressing, floral decorations and creative lighting transformed the baroque style Great Hall into a winter wonderland of white and ice blue.

Delegates watched in amazement as 30,000 people packed into the City Centre for the switch-on of the annual Christmas Lights; and were treated to a spectacular firework display from a private viewing area in front of the Town Hall.
