A ceremony for the Tourism Awards for England’s Northwest was described by one of the guests as"better than the BAFTA or BBC TV awards".

We organised and managed the Tourism Awards which were held on Tuesday 24th October in the prestigious surroundings of Manchester’s brand hew Hilton Hotel, on behalf of the North West Development Agency.

The audience of over 300 included Tourism Award winners and runners up in twelve categories, their guests, and key representatives of the tourism industry.   Introduced by Felicity Goodey, Chair of the Tourism Forum for England’s North West, the Awards Ceremony was presented ‘Oscars style’ by BBC’s Gordon Burns and Dianne Oxberry.

We used hundreds of metres of silk, floor to ceiling banners, spectacular floral displays and lighting effects to mirror the autumn gold and burnished bronze of the Tourism Awards logo, and the evening was a rounded off with a spectacular production of aerial acrobatics and fire-dancing by Flame Oz.
