Skills for the future:
  • Event management and coordination of a two-day European symposium
  • Hotel sourcing, negotiating preferential rates, site visits and staffing welcome / information desks for duration of symposium
  • Delegate travel arrangements for assisted places
  • 200 delegates (from EU Countries) including UK ministers and ASC officials
  • Management of delegate registration and hotel booking service
  • Liaison with airport and train station and hosting welcome desks for delegate arrivals
  • Design and production of website, invitations, letterheads, badges and delegate packs
  • Sourcing, negotiating and managing entertainment options for symposium
  • Stage choreography and show schedule
  • Speaker liaison and slide production
  • Full production and audio-visual management including language interpretation and interpreters
  • Design and production of stage set
  • Catering coordination and management (sourcing local produce for locally themed lunches and dinner), including food tasting
  • Sourcing gifts for delegates
  • Organising a private dinner for the ASC working group
  • Coordinating and providing equipment for a film show at one of the venues
  • Full breakout session management (10 breakout sessions) including all support equipment
  • Exhibition management
  • Working with Leeds City Council to integrate the drinks reception (Art Gallery) and dinner (Town Hall) into the official switch on of the Christmas lights
  • Collecting and analysing information, working towards a carbon neutral event. Including delegate and organisers travel, catering and energy usage, in conjunction with Climate Care
