Glasgows was commissioned by the BERR to undertake the management and delivery of these high-level consultation events. As part of a far reaching consultation process, BERR invited senior representatives of the nuclear industry and other interested parties to hear presentations on the Government’s draft guidance and to take part in detailed consultation sessions. To ensure maximum uptake, two dates and locations were offered and a targeted and systemised email invitation process was employed which achieved the delegate numbers required.

On-site, the room was set cabaret-style with facilitators with laptops leading table discussions and taking notes. These were followed by full question and answer and feedback sessions which were audio recorded. It was vitally important that the results of the consultation and all comments were recorded. So within 24 hours of each event, the facilitator notes were emailed to BERR and full digital recordings were placed on Glasgows’ secure GEM system for uploading by BERR.
