Title:     Equalities Review Consultation Events

Objective: To consult with key stakeholders on the findings of the interim report published by the Equalities Review Panel.

Target Audience: Policy Makers, Service Deliverers, Organisations working with people facing inequality, Local Government, Police and Health Authorities, Voluntary and Community Sector, Business and the Private Sector, Lobbyists and Representative Organisations.

Services:-
  • Event management and administrative support through the development of seven regional events including one large event at the Greater London Authority City Hall.
  • Assisting with marketing, we designed and hosted a consultation website to capture view points and to allow individuals to register for an event. Supporting the client with an advertising campaign by setting up and staffing a dedicated telephone line to log and process information and assist with queries.
  • Distribution of information (interim reports) and production of information packs to be handed out at events or requested during the marketing of the consultation.
  • Venue liaison including full logistical scheduling; room layout, negotiating access schedules, deliveries and collection of consultation materials, staff passes, health and safety information, risk assessment and contingency planning.
  • Catering management including the procurement of contract caterers for use at public buildings where there was no in-house provision.
  • Design and production of a portable press backdrop, delivered and installed at each event.
  • Specifying and supplying audiovisual (sound and projection) requirements venue by venue.
  • Speaker liaison including assistance with PowerPoint.
  • Staff briefings on site (including client, speakers, venue staff and subcontractors where necessary) to include roles and responsibilities, lines of communication, venue familiarisation, security, logistics, fire procedures and evacuation, health & safety including first aid, catering, collecting feedback and local transport and taxi information.
  • Provision of specialist lip speakers, British sign language interpreters, Palantypists and induction loops for the hard of hearing, to ensure participation and accessibility for all.
  • Audio transcription services to include the provision of an edited transcript.
  • Feedback reports forwarded to the Equalities Review team both pre and post each event. This information came from the dedicated telephone line, website and during the event in the form of evaluation forms with additional information.
