Client: Northwest Regional Development AgencyTitle: Launch of the London 2012 Business Network and the 2012 Construction Commitments Roadshow, January 2008
Venue: Manchester United Old Trafford Stadium
The London 2012 Construction Commitments Roadshow, which was travelling the country, was due to come to the North West. Just two weeks before the event, it was decided to combine the event with the National Launch of the London 2012 Business Network.
Glasgows were commissioned to undertake the event management, exhibition management, stage set and audio visual production for both events in just over a week.
The morning launch event, which attracted around 500 delegates, featured senior representative of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) including Minister for the Olympics, Tessa Jowell and LOCOG Chairman, Lord Sebastian Coe.
Glasgows designed and produced a clean and simple stage set that could easily be transformed between the morning and afternoon events through the use of graphics, projection and lighting. We also undertook all audio visual production including sound, projection and lighting as well as camera-relay to large plasma screens within the auditorium. Glasgows were also responsible for venue and catering liaison as well as the management of a 10-stand exhibition located in the catering area.
The LOCOG officials were delighted with the event and extremely impressed with how the whole event was run.
