What to expect:
The day will include:
- Kick off at 10am with Victoria Derbyshire, Presenter from Radio 5 Live
- 100s of frontline NHS staff celebrating the achievements of the NHS and looking forward to the potential of the future
- Dame Evelyn Glennie OBE as the afternoon speaker. Dame Evelyn will also give a live performance
- David Nicholson, Chief Executive of the NHS will make a keynote address in the morning
- Professor the Lord Darzi, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department of Health will be presenting his keynote address in the morning
- Ann Keen MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Health Services at the Department of Health will be presenting concluding remarks in the afternoon
- Don Berwick, President and CEO, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) giving a “Transatlantic review of the NHS at 60”
- An interactive display of innovations that are creating the NHS of the future
- A patient and staff inspired theatre piece telling stories from the NHS over the decades
- Two lunchtime Improvement Surgery sessions. See below for further details and how to book.
If you can't be with us on the day but would like to join us from home or work then we can offer:
- The morning via your computer – you will be able to watch streamed live footage from your PC with the ability to ask questions and comment on line
- 1:1s with improvement experts – during the exhibition at lunchtime improvement and innovation leads will be available to discuss and answer questions via “virtual clinics”. You can access them on-line.
- From the TV - AS LIVE television coverage will be shown via TV Sky Guide 168 between 13:00 - 16:00. All Strategic Health Authorities have the opportunity to provide access via locally situated set top boxes in a venue close to you. Details will be provided locally. Please see below for further details and timings for scheduled repeats.
CONFERENCE TIMINGS
The conference will run from 10:00am and finish at 3:30pm.
HOW TO REGISTER
Registrations must be made in advance of the event. The conference is free for all delegates but should any delegates fail to attend without prior notice a fee of £100 + vat will be levied. (Please see 'Non Turn-Up' Fees section below).
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF REGISTRATION
A receipt of registration will be sent to all registered delegates within five working days of registration.
IMPROVEMENT SURGERIES (Please see details in bold as the surgeries are now full)
Two thirty minute Improvement Surgeries will be taking place during lunch. Please click here for further information about the sessions and how to book.
We regret to inform you that both the Improvement Surgeries are now full. It will not be possible to register at this time. If you still wish to attend please ask at the Helpdesk (located on Level 2) on Tuesday 1 July to see if any spaces have become available.
We are unable to exceed capacity within the Surgery rooms and therefore we would appreciate it if you would not try and attend without having registered first. Each participant will be issued with a numbered entrance ticket for their appropriate Surgery.

STADIUM TOUR
There will be the opportunity to take part in a stadium tour. Please note: places for this will be on a first come, first served basis.
EXHIBITION
A large exhibition will be the focal point of the day. Please note: The Exhibition is now full.

DELEGATES WITH SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
NHS Live aims to offer a fully accessible conference. If you have any specific needs related, for example, to sight, hearing, mobility access or special diets, please tick the box when completing the registration form and the conference organisers, Glasgows, will contact you.
CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event that you need to cancel your place at the Conference, the conference organisers, Glasgows, must be informed in writing (email acceptable). Named substitute delegates may be accepted subject to approval by the NHS Live team. Full contact details of substitute delegates should be submitted to Glasgows at the time of cancellation.
NON TURN-UP FEES
If you register for the conference and then do not attend without advising the conference organisers that you are unable to attend a fee will be incurred of £100 + vat. This fee will be charged as your place may have been able to have been allocated to someone else and costs have already been incurred by NHS Live to accommodate your attendance.
