Register for the free national conference – Schools, Colleges, Children's Services and partners: Delivering for at risk and challenging young people.
Effective implementation of the targeted youth support reforms will be critical to delivering improvements such as reductions in teenage pregnancies and the number of young people who are NEET. Ensuring schools are fully integrated with these reforms will be essential to their success as will maximising the potential of multi agency work to deliver Extended Schools and to tackle poor behaviour and attendance. The day will help schools and other local partners by showcasing good practice examples from around the country including the work of and will be an exciting opportunity to hear about developments in government policy including the newly launched Youth Taskforce.
Speakers include Rt Hon Beverley Hughes MP, Minister of State for Children and Young People, Dr Maggie Atkinson, Association of Directors of Children’s Services President and Director of Children’s Services, Gateshead Council, Sue Bainbridge, Secondary Senior Regional Advisor - National Strategies plus many more.
The conference is a must for any Head Teacher, Director of Children’s Services, Strategic Youth Lead and strategic leads in key partner organisations like health and third sector agencies wanting to learn about how schools and other services can engage more effectively.
